Museum of Shenandoah Valley

Opened May 30th, 2026 in the MSV gardens, Earth & Sky: Sculptures by Marguerite Elliot featured ten large-scale metal sculptures and installations exploring humanity’s impact on the natural world. From cell phone–inspired Sentinels to twisted Medusa Trees, the sculptures confront environmental challenges, including the loss of birds and forests, while celebrating resilience and hope. Raised on a small Shenandoah Valley farm, Elliot’s early connection to nature continues to influence her work.

Now based in San Francisco, Elliot’s sculptures are in collections across the U.S. and Europe and have been exhibited in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. On view through October 11, 2026, Earth & Sky marks the first public presentation of her work in the Mid-Atlantic region.
